Camp Gatwick!

So this week was Spring Break...we planned on going up to Wekiva Springs to go camping for two nights, we didn't however, plan on Katherine being sick :(

Not to worry we just set up camp inside the house!!

The kids were so pumped to have a tent in the middle of the living room

Instant campfire, thanks to our fire bowl.  Jaina didn't like the popping noise coming from the fire so we ate our hot dogs inside.

 

Time to turn out the lights, only lanterns and flashlights allowed

 

By the time we were ready for smores our fire was too low,

so we improvised and made them in the oven.

 

Success...ewwwy gooey goodness!

 

We wanted the kids to sleep, so we opted for stories about camping rather than the typical ghost stories around the campfire :)

 

What did the world do before pinterest?  I found this cute fishing activity on there, the kids loved it!

The really liked when it was Daddy's turn to cast the line and then they got to decide when the fish got away with his bait!

 

 

 

awesome headphones

The kids love "working" on the computer,

they love it even more now that they have their own set of headphones to use.

I think we might have to get dad a set like Ryan's....maybe for fathers day :)

 

another one bites the dust...

This is Ryan's 4th tooth that has fallen out!!  He's really getting the hang of this tooth fairy thing!!  He's becoming a rich little man :)

Katherine's new playmat!

Katherine got a new toy....Jaina being the great big sister that she is, is showing her how it works!

What's for dinner?!

I asked Ryan what he wanted for dinner tonight, I was so surprised by his answer....FISH.  And even more surprised that he actually ate it and asked for seconds!  Finally sonething besides the typical kids menu :)

happy bday dr seuss

This was just too cute not to add to the blog :)  Ryan's school does a whole week long celebration of Dr. Seuss when his birthday rolls around.  They had lots of fun activities at school planned for the kids.  Ryan's favorite thing was "drop everything and Seuss" where he was able to bring a favorite one of the Seuss books from home to read at school.  Because of this we have discovered something amazing.  Ryan can read Green Eggs and Ham all by himself....what else can this guy do that he's been keeping secret?!

opening day astros!

It's that time again!!  I love baseball season, luckily for me so does Ryan :)  This year we are the Astros, and Daddy is helping to coach again...Hooray!!  Most of his team is made up of the kids that played together last season, it is really cool to watch them work together!  They actually look like they know what they are doing out there!  Not many pictures this time around....it was 50 degrees outside, so I was busy "cacooning" Katherine and wrangling Jaina while the boys were out on the field!!  I will post more pics of upcoming, warmer games!
