Angel is a Master :)

Angel is officially done with school!! After two long, and hard years of classes, homework, and exams he now has his Masters of Engineering Management. We are so very proud of him, this is a HUGE accomplishment. He's the first in the family to do this....what a great example for Ryan and Jaina :) We are so blessed to have family and friends who made this time extra special. Some how we managed a weekend of surprises, without Angel suspecting a thing. The first surprise was that our moms, Richard, and Jaden were here at the house when he got home from work on Friday!! Man I WISH that I would have had our camera to take a pic of his face!! Then on Saturday we went to lunch at one of our favorite spots and when we got there the room was full of our favorite people from church, and work, even the chairman of the engineering department at the university came! It was an amazing show of support from all :) Then the final surprise was tickets to the Monday Night Football game in Dallas. Angel is a die hard Cowboys fan, but has never been to a game. And to make it even more amazing, his brother is flying down to go with him!! I'm telling you, this family is AWESOME!!

I don't know how I'm ever going to top this gift!

a whole new view!

Jaina hit a big milestone this week, she has now graduated to the forward facing car seat! I can't believe our little baby is one year old already! She is much happy with her new view, which makes everyone else who is traveling with her, much happier too!!

Take me out to the Ballgame!

The Atlanta Braves are my favorite baseball team of all time! So when they came to Houston we were there! We also managed to get there early enough to go out to dinner at Benihana, so delicious! A double date with a couple of our friends! It was pretty funny, I think there were just as many Braves fans at the game as there were Astros fans! The very next week we went to another Astros game, but this time we took Ryan with us. He loved it, except when the crowd or the music got too loud for him, which was probably 85% of the time! Only one more year until we can put him on a tee ball team, that is a long time!!
A view from our seats in game #1
A real working train, chugs along the track when the astros win!
It didn't move an inch that night, Go Braves!!

This pic is a little blurry, but Ryan was excited to ride the escalator.
Corduroy rides one just like it!

Cotton candy, nothing better than sugar to keep him happy!

The result of telling Ryan, "smile!!"

A bunch of Fun

Much to my dismay, the only indoor placeplay in clear lake closed this year! Since the combination heat and the mosquitoes keeps us inside most of the time, I've been searching and searching for an alternative for months! I finally got desperate enough and drove 45 minutes and found this one!! It was a Bunch of Fun once we got there, but driving that long....not so much....good thing I had a friend to keep me company!
This place was so AWESOME

cowboys camp

We went home for Jaina's birthday party in San Antonio, and it just so happened to be the same time that the Cowboys were having training camp at the Alamodome. So Ryan and Daddy made a date out of it! It was totally cute, when I picked them up Ryan got in the van with his little banner and said, "Hey mommy, Go Cowboys!!"

Witte Museum

We were looking for something fun, different, and most importantly indoors to do during Jaina's birthday weekend. The Witte Museum in San Antonio was a perfect fir for all three requirements. Ryan was really excited about the dinosaur exhibit until we actually got inside and he saw them moving and heard them roaring at him! Luckily there was much more of the museum to see. And of course by the time we were ready to leave, he wasn't afraid of the dinosaurs anymore!

Jaina's 1st Birthday--San Antonio Party

"But she was still hungry"--the Very hungry Caterpillar......Jaina's first birthday party, take two! It is so nice to live so close to home that we are able to celebrate our kids birthdays with family. I came across this amazing indoor play place to have the party called, Just Add Children. The name says it all, they took care of everything for us. It was perfect for Jaina because we had the whole place to ourselves so she could crawl around anywhere her little heart desired. Everyone had a great time, there was even air hockey tables, basketball hoops, and video games for the older kids.

Wow, a place that I can crawl around....what to do first??

Bouncing with Grandpa

Air Hockey anyone??

Weeeeee....thanks Grandma Sandy

Jaina's 1st Birthday--Houston Party

I love childrens picture books, and one of my favorite authors is Eric Carle. So I wanted to pick a theme based on one of his books. The winner.....The Very Hungry Caterpillar!! There were so many great ideas out there, and so many things I wanted to do. I had a lot of help from our friends to make this a great party for our little caterpillar :)
