It was time to get out of Houston for a while, time for some fresh air, and some ice cream :) We've been planning this camping trip for a while, it's hard to believe that it has come and gone!! Here are some of the highlights! We caravanned with the usual suspects early morning on Friday. After a few detours, and gps malfunctions we managed to get to the park. We set up camp and nearly died on heat stroke, okay maybe it was just me...luckily we remembered to bring a fan for Jaina! Then we headed south to Brenham to do the bluebell factory tour. But not before a quick stop for a bite to eat at Must Be Heaven, a cute little place, and the food wasn't bad either, just a little on the pricey side. The ice cream tour was pretty cool, learned a lot of cool things about my favorite ice cream. Did you know that the ice cream is frozen upside down in the carton?? The tour ended with free ice cream, I tried a new flavor that just came out, Happy Tracks, divine :)
So back to the campsite we go. The guys cooked the dinner while the girls relaxed and chatted, what good husbands we have :) I convinced Angel that we needed an extra tent, because we needed her pack and play! Thankful our good friends came to the rescue and lent us theirs!! Jaina and I slept in their tent and Angel and Ryan slept in ours. Note to self....need bigger tent for next time so we can all fit in one!
