The 2nd Semiannual Camp out!
We decided that we all liked Lake Somerville, so we decided to go back for round two. I am so glad that we did, the sites that we camped at were amazing. The park rangers both said it was their favorite spot in the whole park. A good thing we got there on Thursday I think!
The weather was amazing, we couldn't have asked for anything better. It was warm and sunny in the the day and cool at night (perfect for the campfire).
When we got there the first night to set up the brand new tent, the zipper for the electrical cord broke. Not good! Angel worked and worked trying to fix it...we're not fans of sleeping with spiders, ants and scorpions! Tom to the rescue....duct tape!! Putting that on our must have list for next time.
Angel got to go fishing several times while we were up there so he was happy. Ryan went down with him a few times, we heard rumors of daddy catching a fish, but it was the only one so they threw it back.
It was pretty amazing how great all of the kids played together, no tv, no video games and they still managed to have a great time!
We made it down to the lake on Friday afternoon. Poor Ryan had a boo-boo on his knee from where he fell the night before, so the water didn't feel so good on it, he didn't last too long. But it was a good time anyways, sitting around talking and looking out at the lake.
More nights + more families = more fun!!
They just keep getting better, can't wait for the next one in the Spring :)
