enjoying the pond :)

We love, love, love our house. One major bonus of living in Florida is
that almost all of the homes are "waterfront". Ryan loves taking bread
out to feed the ducks and the fish. And the boys have even caught a
few...nothing that we would eat of course, but it's still fun!!

One of our resident ducks, "Waddle"...

Seriously. That is his name :)

Ryan was amazed at the size of these pelicans...

I was amazed that there were pelicans in our backyard :)

Play Plus

It was a rainy Saturday so we were looking for an indoor play place. The only once remotely close was play plus....Ryan and Jaina had so much fun here. But being that is was the weekend the place was super crowded so we didn't stay long. We'll have to go back during the week sometime to see how it is, but at least we found a good standby for when it gets too hot, or too wet to go outside :)

Moving Day

It was a sad, sad day....leaving Texas yet again. I was amazed at the number of people who came out, in the pouring rain to help us load up the uhaul. What good people we have in CL2. We're really going to miss those friends who made Houston feel like home, and that short 3 hour drive to San Antonio, but we have to focus on the positive!! We definitely feel a little better that we were headed back to Florida, familiar people, places, and weather! It was a LONG road trip...would not recommend driving halfway cross country with little ones!! Angel had the hardest job, driving the huge uhaul which was towing his car behind it! Ryan and Lupe went with him, and my mom, Jaina, and I followed in the van. It was very nice to separate the kids, I think it saved us (me) alot of headaches :) The driving part was rough, but the kids were really great, and the grandmas made the trip much easier on us, so grateful for them. We stopped for the night at Keesler AFB in Mississippi, and headed out again the next morning bound for Viera. We made it in on New Years Eve around 10pm, just in time for fireworks. But as you can probably imagine we were all asleep well before then!! Oh well, we'll catch the fireworks in 2012!!

Somehow Clarissa managed to get Jaina to hold still long enough for pigtails!!

Ryan the big helper :)

Our new Florida home....love it!!

Jaina's growing like a pretty weed!

Jaina is walking like a pro these days, she's even started "running". It's pretty funny to see her go when I am coming towards her with a new diaper!!

She has also mastered the stairs! We had to take the gate down, because she figured out how to open it. She is still being very cautious coming down, she turns around and goes backwards. I pray that she doesn't get brave enough to try it the "right" way.

Somehow, someway she's learned the meaning of no. When we try and get her to do something she doesn't want to, we get the "no" head shake. How'd that happen??

We're working on getting rid of the bottles, she drinks from a sippy, but she wants her milk in a bottle, oh ya and the bottle has to be warmed up....what a little diva we have on our hands!

When Daddy went to the cowboys game he brought her back a little teddy bear, just her size. She sleeps with it at nap, and bedtime...it is so sweet to see her snuggling her little friend :)

Jaina's 15 month stats:
Height: 31 1/2 77%
Weight: 21.12 29%
Head: 18 1/8 78%

I guess Jaina thought she needed some meds!

The 1st pony tail, she kept it in for more than 5 minutes...all through church actually!

I love these moments, it's so nice to see the kids working together!

Dentist

I wish i would have had the foresight to bring the camera with us. Normally I don't blog without a pic to go with the story, but I cant let this one pass. This was Ryan's very 1st visit to the dentist. He was amazingly brave. They took several xrays of his teeth, which he cooperated completely for. No small feat because those bitewing xrays are horribly uncomfortable. All of the hygienists there were so nice, and very kid friendly. Before she cleaned his teeth, he got to look at AND hold all of the tools that she would be using, and she explained everything to him. He even got to pick the flavor of fluoride treatment for his teeth (strawberry of course). All was going well until they made him lay flat on his back to do the actual cleaning. I had to hold his hands while she worked, and he cried. Poor little guy, luckily it was over fast and he was okay!! We took our new toothbrush and balloon home and he was happy :) Oh and a clean bill of dental health too!!

SA childrens museum

Ryan has never been to the Childrens Museum in San Antonio...neither has Jaina for that matter! So we gathered the troops and headed out. It was so much fun. I think Ryan's favorite part was the GIANT airplane that he was able to pilot. Guessing from her excitement I would have to say Jaina's favorite part was pushing the mini shopping cart though the kid sized HEB :)
The San Fransisco treat!

He is truly Angel's son, check out that steak!

Angel trying to get cash from banker Ryan!

Team Work!

When he thought nobody was looking a snapped this shot!

Lexis bday

So the family just left on Wednesday, and on Friday we made the impromptu trip to San Antonio for Alexia's 2nd birthday party! It was nice to be able to spend time with the family that we don't get to see all of the time. Uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. Happy Birthday little Lexi!!

On a side note...just accidentally deleted over half of the pics from this weekends trip, I must be getting old...they say the mind's the 1st thing to go!
